I bought this car at a swap meet in Northville, Michigan in 1986. I drove it on the street for four months. I tried hanging with the local Chevelle club. Just sit around at the park and dust off your car. Man, that was boring. Racing is what I needed. I hadn't made a pass down a race track in 14 years. But, competition is doing and that's better than sitting. Like most racers we built this car on the pay as you go plan. We ran it until 2004 and sold it in 2005. We used a number of different engines in it but, in 2002 we installed a Reher-Morrison 502 with 816 HP. It ran a best of 9.632 at 142 MPH.
